DIY Green Lantern Ring

Like many preschool aged boys, Colin and Owen are crazy about superheroes . . . The DC Super Friends to be exact. Our days are filled with imaginative play and most of the time, I get to be the villain – mua ha ha!

Usually they pretend to be Batman or Superman, but today they were quite interested in Green Lantern. I can’t blame them, as Green Lantern‘s power ring is pretty sweet.

DIY RingMaterials Needed for DIY Green Lantern Power Ring:

  • 1 green chenille stem
  • Green foam
  • White paper
  • White Duct Tape
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors

1. Measure your child’s finger with the chenille stem. Snip excess and wrap snugly, being sure to tuck in sharp ends.

2. Cut out a small circle from the green foam.

3. Place a small piece of white duct tape onto the white paper. Cut out Green Lantern’s symbol and glue onto the foam circle with hot glue.

4. Glue the foam circle onto the chenille stem. Allow the ring to dry completely.

  1. I would want back my MOM superpower: the ability to fix any problem instantly for my children. I used to have it, but as the kids get older, the power seems to be fading…
